Difference of Combustible and Flammable:

Flammable liquids (for example, gasoline) have a flash point below 100 F. or 38 C.

Combustible liquids (for example, diesel fuel) have a flash point at or above 100 F or 38 C.

1.2. EN13051-1 Standard, Current Version is 2007

Class List : A1、A2、B、C、D、E、F

Class A1: Shall be tested in accordance with EN ISO 1182 and EN ISO 1716 and satisfy the criteria.

Class A2: Shall be tested in accordance with either EN ISO 1182 or EN ISO 1716. And shall be tested in accordance with EN ISO 13823 and satisfy the criteria.

Class B, C, D: Shall be tested in accordance with EN 13823、EN ISO 11925-2 and satisfy the criteria.

Class E: Shall be tested in accordance with EN ISO 11925-2 and satisfy the criteria.

Class F: Applies if a product fails to obtain class E when tested to EN ISO 11925-2.

EU requirements must reach level E or above.

1.3. BS476 UK Standard

BS476-6 class0: requires a total flame propagation index, I ≤ 12 and a single sub-index i1 ≤ 6, and tested by class1

BS476-7 class1: flame extension range ≤165mm at 1.5 minutes, flame extension range ≤165mm at 10 minutes

BS476-7 class2: Flame extension range ≤ 215mm at 1.5 minutes, flame extension range ≤ 455mm at 10 minutes

BS476-7 class3: Flame extension range ≤265mm at 1.5 minutes, flame extension range ≤710mm at 10 minutes

BS476-7 class4: Exceeding the limit of class3

(1). For homogeneous products and substantial components of non-homogeneous products

(2). For any external non-substantial component of non-homogeneous products

(2a) Alternatively, any external non-substantial component having a PCS 2, provided that the product satisfies the following criteria of EN 13823, FIGRA

(3) For any Internal non-substantial component of non-homogeneous products

(4) For the product as a whole

(5) s1=SMOGRA≤30m2I/s2 and TSP600s≤5OM2; s2 =SMOGRA≤180m2I/s2 and TSP600s≤200m2

s3 = not s1 or s2 Smoke production

(6) d0 = No flaming droplets/ particles in EN 13823 within 600s

d1 No flaming droplets/ particles persisting longer than 10s in EN 13823 within 600s

d2 = not d0 or d1 Burning drips

Ignition of the paper in EN ISO 11925-2 results in a d2 classification

(7) Pass = no ignition of the paper (no classification);

Fail = ignition of the paper (d2 classification)

(8) Under conditions of surface flame attack and, if appropriate to the end-use application of the product, edge flame attack.

4. Common material requirements

Wall insulation foam should also meet the following requirements: B1 oxygen index OI ≥ 30%, B2 oxygen index ≥ 26%.

Concrete, mineral wool, glass fiber, ash, metal (iron, copper, steel), gypsum, mortar without organic mixture, calcium silicate material, natural stone, slate, glass, ceramic, organic content of any material Not more than 1% (mass and volume), it can be considered to meet the requirements of Class A1 without passing the test.

For a material or article layered by one or more of the above materials, when the glue content does not exceed 0.1% (mass and volume), the article is considered to meet the requirements of class A1.
